Jo-Mé Dance Theatre (1st Company) was established to create an exploratory process where the company could combine elements to create new movements and ideas. From acting to contemporary-funk style and improvisation, movement is blossomed through the creative and collaborative artists. The fusion of contemporary, funk, acting, ballet, and modern allows the company to explore distortion of the body, natural patterns, chemical reactions between humans, visually pleasing, and emotional conflicts. The Companies honest movement compiles stories of real life that is shared with one another and experience epiphanies throughout the journey. Believing that there are many ways to inspire an audience, dance movement can be one of the most powerful ways to reach out and change someone. Allowing for each movement to help us further understand human conditions.
